Two Hundred and Fifty-Six World Map Dots Collage - Wall Art
Size: 55cm x 55cm (Framed)
Amelia Coward is a Kent-based artist celebrated for her vibrant explorations of colour and geometry. With a background in woven textiles and formal training in colour theory at Central Saint Martins (BA, 1st Class) and the Royal College of Art (MA), her work investigates the dynamic interactions between hues through meticulously arranged compositions. Using laser-cut birch wood much like a loom, she assembles geometric shapes—circles, stripes, and thousands of hand-painted dots—into rhythmic, tactile artworks that shift between precision and play. Influenced by Josef Albers’s teachings, her pieces range from intricate dot panels to bold, large-scale stripes, all unified by a deep sense of spatial balance and chromatic harmony.
