Jim Grundy is a South London-based abstract artist known for his bold compositions that balance structure with spontaneity. A graduate of Maidstone College of Art, Jim spent over two decades at the Tate Gallery, rising to Head of Art Handling - an experience that deepened his connection to the artistic process.

His work explores the tension between control and chance, using geometric forms, architectural references, and gravity-led techniques to create layered, dynamic pieces. Colour plays a central role, with earthy tones and elemental hues evoking both built and natural environments.

Jim’s art has been exhibited internationally, including at The Other Art Fair, Art Palm Beach, and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. He is represented by Steidel Fine Art and Renée Pfister Art & Gallery Consultancy, with work held in private collections in the UK and beyond.
